is Athletics!

Athletics is the world's best sports betting market for one reason:-

Variables.

Although there is always the specter of drug taking and markets generally dont clear until after testing has been completed, it is the purest sports-betting market at international level due only to the fact that there exist far fewer variables in athletics than any other sport.

as you know- it's all mouth .. but i did make $200 profit on the IAAF world athletic championships last time around Thumbs up

if you look at all sports across the board there is always something that stands in the way of a black-and-white result.

in ball sports the bounce of the ball and the adjudication is always the 'variable'
in combat sports the opinion of the judge/s is the 'variable'
in winter sports the snow is sometimes the variable
in shooting there is wind
in racing there are a multitude of variables

in Athletics the element of running in a controlled environment far surpasses any other sport in terms of the reduction in variables thus running is the purest form of sport that is able to be wagered upon.

swimming is the second more pure sport in terms of varibales however water itself holds a high degree of variability

Athletics Thumbs up

Snooker frame betting at a top level tournament is the ultimate sports betting market.

As soon as a player gets to the table and looks to have a good chance of racking up some points lay them. They rarely clean up in one go and as soon as the other guy gets back on the table he will normally go odds on so just lay him. Keep laying laying laying, whoever is at the table. U

At Anfield just watch the Villa go man,
We will prove that Rafas a circus clown
We'll have lots of fun with Mr scouser,
And then the Villa kids will knock him down.

Dont remember the Franciscos, must have been before my time Dunno Dunno

Quarter finals onwards of the world championships is the perfect tournament to do frame laying. The bigger the pressure, the smaller the breaks. People like Ebdon are brilliant for using this tactic as he chokes under pressure.

peter and silvino they were called tea both pros and on the snooker circiut.....which was alot bigger then and got alot more tv time as well........they were correct score betting.....and fixing games.......

you only have to look at the money in bread and butter snooker to know how easy it would be to put the fix in....

That Aussie player got stung by the News Of The World (I think) for match fixing. Quinten Hahn or something like that, boasting to an undercover reporter of how he fixes games. Not sure if he still plays or if he was booted out of the game.

some meets are indoors (as you know Ivan) under super-controlled environments. track surface has nothing to do with anything. crowd has nothing to do with anything. wind is the only variable, thus they are very good markets to bet on believe me .. especially the sprints, middle-distance events and the marathons. field events are not great markets!

a good point puntingpatto, but we all know how tennis is being played these days with the likes of davydenko.. although russias davis cup win indoors at moscow two years ago was a fairly predictable result Thumbs up
