Hi All,

Im brand new to forum but not to betting, hence about a £300k loss, Evil or Very Mad over the last 4 years. But guess what, Very Happy , i,ve got a new £200k pot coming soon and looking for advice on the best way to use it. Read something recently about not risking more than 5% of bank and targeting a profit of 1%. 1% would do me nicely but im aware of the discipline issues i,ve faced in the past.

However, onwards and upwards so time for the new plan so any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Here are some of the rules i,ve put in place to start this new journey which be my full time trader role very soon i hope.

Rules:

Never risk more than 5% of bank

Target 1% of bank then stop.

Never double up i.e martingale

Learn dutching and Arbing knowledge inside out.

Study form from 8 till 10 in RP each morning, bet some nice early price piks, then exercise for two hours, healthy body healthy mind and all that. A bit of lunch then down to my real passion, the gee gees. some more backing, laying, dutching etc etc. sounds good, but is it really practical lads.

Im someone who lost £3500 in the first five races at ayr onr day only to recoup it on the last with 7500 on a 1/2 shot but i now hope trading is the answer rather than being one of the mug punters i keep reading about.

Any help greatly appreciated. cheers

my advice is get a job m8...

you may not earn much .. but you will save 200k..

anyone that comes on a forum asking advice about strategy after supposedly losing 300k already is either a nutter or a fantasist..
possibly both..

i dont believe a word of it..

welcome back SR ..

u had a bad day lay low, just looking for a bit of advice my man. noticed from your profile your a trader, you must have sought help when you started out. live and let live and all that. im just wondering how difficult or easy it is to do, been reading about gruss, betangel etc. may not know much about this subject mate but been shrewd enough to get up to a good pot size from other ventures and now looking for other avenues. as i said looking for some help, then if not, fair enough, good luck anyway.

If you just want advice, why include the amounts lost/available? Just going to alienate you, as 99.9999% of people will think you are full of it. The 0.0001% that believe you.....their advice isn't worth the post it's written in.

tell u wh mate, because the experience of loosing 300 made me sit up and take a fesh look at what i had being doing until he now. theres been a bit of time between that loss and getting another pot ready. why, the same reason as you probably, the buzz, the kick, the not being 9 to 5. slightly frustrating to be new and seek advice. u can advice or not mate just looking for ideas. as i said before, where did u start off.
