You are a stubborn stubborn human being. And by the way all clubs barring Richmond, Collingwood, and St. Kilda have ruled him out. Career HighlightsDidlow Medallist 2007-2008 LM Smith Medallist 2008 CD Sheahan Medallist 2007 AC Joffa Medallist 2007 The Official King of Sting

Slouch, you clearly know as much about footy as a tortoise with down syndrome does. When being drafted there are category 1 and category 2 players. Category 1 players are players with previous experience at AFL clubs. These players can nominate their contract details that all clubs that are interested in drafting them have to partake in. This is so that a player can be given more chance to arrive at his nominated club. The reason the AFL allow this is so they do not have to go down the path of free agency. "Didaka"Slouch, you clearly know as much about footy as a tortoise with down syndrome does. if BC were elected to be a registered player with WCE by the AFL WCE could have had something for him on trade, however, the AFL in their esteemed wisdom have decided (contrary to Pert's wishes) to make BC eligible through the PSD and only through the PSD. that's why Collingwood are shitty - they wanted BC like a baby wants a rattle.

Slouch. When entering the PSD you can put a price figure on your head which enables you more chance to move to your club of choice. This is why some clubs regrettably trade players cheaply at times.
At most 8 clubs will be involved in the pre-season draft. Club managers are aware of cap restrictions at other teams.
If Ben Cousins wants to play for Collingwood or St. Kilda which he does, they will top end his contract so that only these 2 clubs can gain his services.
Melbourne wouldn't entertain Cousins anyway. Two questions Dids?one thing I dont get, so the club with first choice has the cash for argument sakes.... Why the fuck cant they say...he's available fuck Collingwood And 2. Why is it a player can demand thier own price, why cant the team with first pick say your available, whats the go there

Don't know if anyone else heard/read about this but Collingwood sent over a private investiagtor a few weeks back to trrack Cousins movements over the period of a few days.
Interesting that. Shows the Collingwood are keen I think as long as he wasn't doing the dodgy while being tracked.
Apparently there's been a TV News poll as well with the question
"Do we want Cousins back at West Coast". We await with baited breath the results tonight. Apparently it wasn't a close vote but.

Why the fuck cant they say...he's available fuck Collingwood And 2. Why is it a player can demand thier own price, why cant the team with first pick say your available, whats the go there Demons have about 90% of the cap. Player managers understand remaining salary cap individual teams have. This is why Collingwood are the favourite, basically because Cousins is keen and they have large cap space and 100% of player payments. Cousins can top end his contract to reach his destination as long as the club can afford it. By top ending it he may ask to be paid 700,000 dollars in 2009 and 100,000 dollars in 2010. This prices out the market. Collingwood are in a situation where they have a very young list, just freed up 6 spots, and have 2 outside the list veterans. There's a lot of explaination but the theory behind nominating your contract in the PSD is so the league can basiaclly avoid Free Agency. If we get free agency our game will become a farce. If Richmond or Essendon had room they would take him, however generally (Camporeale, Michael situations) if a player manager warns a team off, they will over look. It happened to us with Campo. It's draft tampering, but you get away with it. Career HighlightsDidlow Medallist 2007-2008 LM Smith Medallist 2008 CD Sheahan Medallist 2007 AC Joffa Medallist 2007 The Official King of Sting

"Slouch"if you want to pay 700k for a junkie then good onya I agree. I think it's too much. Also clubs are less inclined to screw clubs over these days due to pay backs. I can guarantee if BC says the Saints, Pies won't touch him. For all the shit he's done to the club off-field I think he should be put through it all again but if he stays in the West he's got outside influences and mates that could lure him back into the drug scene. If West Coast do take him back there will be a fair dinkum uproar in the West from the media and we might see some Eagles fans jump ship. Not me but.

Cousins or Didak. You cant have both. capitche? PS. your men are on too much money. FAIR DINKUM!

Well overwhelming majority (95%) of over 16 000 callers want Cousins back at West Coast, players are keen on having him back so coaches are as well but the board won't have a bar of it. I hate the fact that Cousins said he can't guarantee he can stay away from drugs. For me that just puts me off him straight away and i really hope he doesn't come to the Saints.

That's footy though Nath. It's hard to believe anything anyone will say around trade week. This could be a strategy to get to the club of his choice. I dare say the PI story involving Collingwood was purposely leaked through the club and so on. People do and say anything when it comes to this system so you just can't read 100% into anything. At least he's being honest Nathan - Its like anyone with an addiction - its always an addiction - its staying away from it that is the problem. I guess I'm just being a sentimental old fool wanting him to come back, play a couple of years of blinders and go out a hero And I would like to see that no matter where he plays
