Whats the best sports stadium in the world?????? The commenwealth games are on here at the MCG with the new Northern stand finished. While the capcity has gone down from 120,000 a few decades ago to 100,000 now its a lot better. The seats are more steeped so you have a more interupted view and they are comfatable seats with more room and leg room. The MCG is more than a stadium to me. Its like a church or holy place. You walk in and no matter what the game you get goosebumps and take in the whole atmosphere. When the G roars it just goes right thru you. Nothing like the atmosphere. Telstra dome maybe more comfortable under the roof etc but it can't emulate the MCG for atmosphere! Now what about the other great stadiums out there guys. How do you rate your sports stadiums. Old Trafford? Yankee stadium or Wrigley field? Some of the HUGE college football ones? That monster of a one in North Korea? Some huge soccer ones in Europe or the monsters in South America? sig by pooc

Yankee stadium is one of the all time great ones The big house in Michigan is amazing site when it's filled with 100,000 people going nuts over Michigan football

No one else?? I had a look online at a few of the better ones overseas but the info isn't great. I'd rather have a first hand account of going to games etc. Are we Melbournians the only ones so attatched to their sporting grounds? I don't like Baseball really but I'd still kill to watch a game at Fenway and have a hotdog and beer. Even better sit at yankee stadium in a Redsox hat sig by pooc

The Metrodome (Indoor Stadium for those who don't know) is one of the most exciting places to watch sports at. If you go, be sure to bring ear plugs. B-

Life time ban on beckett Well done Mac Is that a local dome near your place Mac?? I find our dome here lacks the atmosphere somewhat to the bigger open roof MCG. I gues your stadiums have a smaller field so the crowd is grouped closer together. sig by pooc

Madison Square Garden and The Millenium Stadium (Cardiff) are probably the best two I've been to for different reasons obviously. The one in my sig aint too bad either

OK I'm biased by both my love for cricket and my South Australian roots. But here are two of the most beautiful cricket crounds in the world. The Adelaide Oval (South Australia) Here is a much bigger pic of the oval: http://www.photoadelaide...m/pano/AdelaideOval.jpg
And I can't go past... Lords Cricket Ground (England)

Damn that dome is HUGE! Most impressive and close to downtown too. Our dome has a retractable roof and is actually colder when its shut But NOTHING compares to the MCG! sig by pooc

The MCG is the best, every team dreams of searching for the holy grail come September time! I also think Nou Camp is and awesome stadium!
