Talk is that it will be Sonnen v W Silva... I would love to see GSP v A Silva but won't happen because the latter can't speak a lick of English.

Confirmed - Lesnar v JDS Quote:UFC President Explains Choice of ‘TUF 13’ Coaches
Wednesday, January 12, 2011 by Sherdog.com Staff

Two weeks ago, UFC President Dana White still was not sure who would coach the 13th season of “The Ultimate Fighter.”
“We were sitting there, working on this thing for such a long time,” White said on a Tuesday media conference call. “At the press conferences, everybody kept asking me. I said, ‘I’m behind the eight-ball. I should’ve had this done already.’”
With the show scheduled to go into production in late January, time was running short for the promotion to attach a pair of big-name fighters to the season. Then, one day, it came to White.
“There were a lot of different people we were looking at and then, boom, Cain Velasquez gets hurt,” said White. “I was literally driving to work one morning and I said, ‘You know what? This makes sense. Let’s see if we can do this.’”
Enter former heavyweight ace Brock Lesnar and top contender Junior dos Santos, who was next in line for a title shot before champion Velasquez was sidelined with a rotator cuff injury. With dos Santos riding a white-hot, six-fight Octagon win streak -- including wins over top-tier heavyweights Fabricio Werdum and Roy Nelson -- White said it made little sense for either the fighter or the promotion to have the Brazilian out of action for six to eight months.
“To put this guy on the shelf for a long time is ridiculous, and much credit to him for not wanting to go on the shelf,” said White. “We’ve seen guys who have been in similar situations that say, ‘You know what? I’ll just sit out and wait.’ Sitting out and waiting is insane.”
While getting dos Santos on board may have been relatively painless, the UFC executive could not say the same about the notoriously curmudgeonly Lesnar.
“In dealing with Brock, one minute, he can be into something, and the next minute, he can completely be not into something,” White explained. “I’m already prepared for this, mentally, and it’s gonna be a tough season. I know it is.”
After Lesnar had his heavyweight crown taken by Velasquez in a brutal October drubbing, rumors swirled that the former NCAA Division I wrestling champion was looking to retire from MMA and possibly return to pro-wrestling.
“None of that was true,” White said. “Obviously, I was in communication with Brock and his team, and talking to them the whole time... There was no wheeling and dealing about the WWE. I think everybody knows how I feel about that. He’s under contract with me.”
Though Lesnar has only three years and seven bouts’ worth of MMA experience, White bristled at the notion that the 33-year-old was unsuited to the task of coaching on the reality program, which premieres March 30 on Spike TV.
“The guy’s a former world champion, has beat guys and held the title. No matter what his record is, what the guy has accomplished in the short amount of time that he’s been in MMA is incredible,” White said. “To say the guy doesn’t have the credentials to coach ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ is probably one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard.”

Dos Santos would make a great coach I think, but man the need for a interpreter would be a bitch. Lesnar... what the fuck does he have to offer? "Get big like a fucking Viking and just out muscle your opponent. When punched in the face, cover it with your massive hands and get into the fetal position immediately."

I am looking forward to seeing how Lesnar handles coaching, he might just bring in a lot of experts to help him.

Hammer is angry against any MMA fighter who isn't technical.
Fair play I guess but keep in mind, it's big oafs like Lesnar who make the sport popular and ensure that it stays mainstream and not some kind of cage-fight, freak-show.
Personally I think that Lesnar being in TUF is going to be brilliant for the sport. It will surely be the highest ranking TUF and the grumpy bastard will probably be controversial. I couldn't care less whether he helps the fighters, just as long as it's good TV and millions of people tune in to watch.

I personally don't think that Lesnar will make TUF the highest rated of the series. Granted, it will do better than say... Cain Velasquez being the opposing coach. Most fans will shy away from watching Lesnar TRYING to coach other fighters when he lacks experience. I agree with RudeNut, he will have to bring in a host of good technicians to help him out. Another thing is that Dos Santos has yet to show some sort of personality. As much as I'd HATE to see it happen, the best way to get ratings for heavyweights is Mir v Lesnar. Mir knows how to stoke up the fire, piss people off. And I'm less angry at a fighter lacking technical skills, I get more pissed off if the fighter can win one way, yet chooses to fight another because of his ego. Two cases... Frank Mir and Brandon Vera. Two VERY talented fighters who if they concentrated more on their ground game could hold titles right now. Both of them knocked people out, and decided, "Hey... I'm a fucking striker now" and choose to try to beat their opponents at stand up and totally disregard their great ground game.

The key to a successful series is having fighters that either hate each other, or are at least entertaining. Lidell hated Tito and that was awesome, Koscheck was a bastard to GSP and that was even better! My only concern is if this guy doesn't speak english then there wont be enough interaction between them both

There has to be some animosity towards each other, and to be honest, there hasn't been any leading up to this point. Dos Santos has issues with Velasquez right now, but I'm sure Junior and Lesnar will find a way to hate each other, but it won't be as fun. Chuck and Tito, Tito v Shamrock *the hatred between these two was even more than Lidell and Tito), Rampage and Rashad, Pulver and Penn, GSP v Kos, Hendo v Bisping (Hendo's KO of Bisping is my all time favorite KO). There has to be some animosity, something that really brings the hate for each other. I don't see it with these two, but they could figure out a way to do it.

TUF is the best program on TV regardless of the who the coaches are but having that psychopath Brock in the mix make this next series that much better! Don't hate, appreciate...
