CA trying to re-invent the T20 domestic BIG BASH Comp in 2011/12 and get an 'IPL' feel to teams etc ... pushing for new logos and colors/namnes to attract the younger crowd ... personally BS as NSW Blues, SA Redbacks,Vic Bushrangers etc were well supported, anyways. Read a few articles and investors are worried coz NOTHING has been finalised yet (specially player allocation) and CA wants to control the event rather than letting it go in the hands of the franchises ( a la IPL). T-20 draws crowds - way more than any Test (barring Ashes)or ODI series. It's necessary for cricket's survival in this country and also everywhere else. Ganesh Left arm Over the Wicket !!!

I wasnt dishing the comp just the made up names that have no relevance to Oz cricket. Why shouldnt CA control it so they can make money? - unless franchises can pay mega $ to CA? ^^^^^^^**************************^^^^^^^ Kochie, KT, Ken, KO ... getting it right! #weareportadelaide

CA can forget abt making money if they remain such control freaks. Coz when people pay - they looking for an investment tht allows them to promote and become popular rather than being told wat to do at every minor hurdle. IPL franchises have total control and BCCI controls the event only in the form of framework - rules regarding auctions etc. Ganesh Left arm Over the Wicket !!!

CA the dumb fucks are going to fark this comp right up !!!!! bravo Katich the colors are crap ... people I guess will follow it and they'll get crowds/ratings- coz all the 'new' fans to cricket via T20 dont have any allegiance to state. Its a bit like AFL, Soccer and Basketball has become - you just follow your local team in your city ... the players are from anywhere/everywhere. re Dan and Taity ... I agree - I reckon we have put all our eggs in the Pollard basket - SA's head whatever (?) Jamie Cox was on radio yesterday and said that Melb offerred much than we wanted to pay for Tait and we were offering 6 figures to Pollard. If he's getting 10% of $1mill then other 17 players share $900k - Dan would be better for $1mill than Pollard! ^^^^^^^**************************^^^^^^^ Kochie, KT, Ken, KO ... getting it right! #weareportadelaide

Is anyone here following this? I got myself a membership for the Melbourne Renegades, heading to the first home game tonight, but after listening to their first game on the radio on Sunday I'm not overwhelemd by them. Hopefully Afridi and the two big quicks can impress tonight and we can get Hodegey back on the park after Christmas. adelaidecrows wrote: my ticket is my ever undying love for the pies and everything eddie. go pies.

Highlight of Night was watching Glenn Maxwell smash 3 sixes from North's first 3 balls. . Renegades bowled far to short at times, not good short balls, just short of a length and not enough in the block hole. Marsh played a great knock, but also our fielding was fucking terrible. Etihad is a tiny ground, but being the home team you should be prepared to defend 189! adelaidecrows wrote: my ticket is my ever undying love for the pies and everything eddie. go pies.

Would have slowed the run rate for certain. He bowls well in the 20/20 format Heal not like Afridi's half trackers and Razzaq Both teams had worries in the field by the sounds of things. Hope finch recovers alright. Looked a nasty blow

More so Marsh than the Huss but. Huss has done nothing in the big bash. Hopefully Gibbs can continue on from his batting against the Renegades. He'll get a ton if he keeps batting like that and lasts 20 overs
