Has anyone been watching the Main Event this year? Interesting way of televising it live. I really like the way the commentators are giving the viewers an insight of how the hand is being played out and Esfandiari(sp?) 90% of the time, guesses what the players have got.

Down to the last 60 now. With alot of the big names gone.

Also, can anyone explain to me why they do the final table in November?

I am just downloading the torrents now... There's parts 1-4 on isohunt. Not sure if they are fakes though, as I thought that ESPN cancelled their coverage this year (due to all the legal problems in the US).

It's kinda refreshing to see players not plastered with gambling sites all over their clothes. They just look like average joes pplaying some cards.

I just watched the first episode - no card camera before the hand and Esfandiari commentating = puke.

aye cd, he is one arrogant cunt, he is a good needler tho, gets helmuth to blow a fuse regular, and lets face it, they didnt come any better than helmuth, ofcourse what he does to helmuth is exactly what helmuth has done to others, games up for helmuth now.

different game now than in helmut glory days, he hasnt adapted his tourney play, if he makes any money now i would think its in live ring games, but he seems to steam in any of those that are televised, mystery to me how he makes any profit now to be honest.

Seriously Laylow, I can't stand the guy. He craps on about stuff like his "prop bets" on whether he can not eat a vegetable and blah blah - no one in he cilvilised world could give a shit. And he has the whiny little voice and those big nostrils and greasy hair, I just want to punch him in the nose.

Helmuth doesn't need to make money playing poker, he just needs to stay relevant as a TV personality and he'll keep on bringing in the bacon.

aye thats what i thought about helmuth, sponsored entries share of any winnings and a few bob appearance/advertising money.

oh he is a twat alright, thats why he is good at being a twat at the table, funny to watch helmuth crumble, when i say crumble i do ofcourse mean erupt.
