Four years on and here we go again the Rugby World Cup. The last one was marred by alot of people saying the rules needed to be changed. But at the end of the Springboks deserved the win.

And once again the All Blacks go into the tournament as odds on favorites. You have got to be off your rocket to back the All Blacks. In all seriousness 1.70 when you have so many teams able to compete. It only needs a Dan Carter injury and all of the sudden it's alot more than 1.70.

For mine Wallabies, England and Springboks have as good a chance to win it. Let's hope the All Blacks get Les Blues in the semis Wink

at least we have won something lately...was despairing of Aussie Rugby for a few years...might be a good bet ahead of NZ with their dismal record in WC...

As much as I love New Zealand, the expectation on them is going to be much and will choke once again.
My tip is going the first team to win back-to-back tournament in South Africa.

SA have the mongrel in them but Aussies dispatched them a week ago and not so keen on them away from home...

England could be the smokies with Wilkinson back in form and refs bound to give the usual multitude of penalties...

The English definetly have a chance the way they ripped Wallabies apart at Twikenham last year was scary. I certailnly think they are overs for this one.

Springboks are in the toughest group for sure they only really have one easy game against Nambia. Wales, Tonga and Fiji will give them a contest. Wallabies have a fairly easy group.

Tonga and France in All Blacks group lets see what happens. For me All Blacks are too reliant on Dan Carter if he stay health they should be ok. But that is a big if.

France could trouble NZ. Have good halves and speed to burn..

I'd like to see Money Bill Williams picked for NZ just to see how he is really going...

take twelve hours off start times for your area Sunbabe...

NZ v Tonga is 8.30pm Friday night...8.30am for you...

Ireland's match against USA is at 6.00pm Sunday night...so 6.00am your time if it's shown...

the whole schedule is on the Rugby WC site under fixtures...

Tonight's point spread between All Blacks v Tonga is a bit optimistic.

Bookmakers have the spread at around 56.5. Exchanges float at 61.5, this market is all over the place. One thing is for certain I expect Tonga to put up a real fight.

Quote:
In 2007 Tonga participated in the 2007 Rugby World Cup, winning 2 of their pool matches and nearly defeating the eventual champions, South Africa, in one of the most memorable and exciting games of the tournament, eventually going down 30-25.

29-3 at half time fancy All Blacks to run riot in 2nd half.

Actually late money came in for New Zealand even with that mammoth start. Tonga are taking a Boxing

Weekend Rugby was pretty good to be honest. Unknown teams gave the bigger teams a few frights.

Scotland behind for long periods of the game eventually beat Romania 34-24.

England and Argentina game was a cracker with both kickers struggling and Poms narrowly winning. France came home strong after Japanese were behind 25-21 with only 10 minutes to go.

The Boks really struggled against Wales yesterday and count themselves pretty lucky winning by a point.

Wallabies 6-6 at half time but powered home to romp the Azzuri 32-6. At 4.60 they look the value bet so far.

England are going to have to play a hell of a lot better and Wilkinson can't afford to miss so many goals...I stupidly made him my fantasy captain and was lucky to win my matches by a dozen points...

Sunbabe you got to be happy with that result yesterday. All credit to Ireland they showed the young boys of the Wallabies how far they are from winning the World cup. Dissapointing display by our lot. Quarter Finals at best for Wallabies.
