Velasquez vs. dos Santos - Match OddsThis is going to be an awesome fight. I think the odds are absolutely spot on. Velasquez is probably the meanest mofo on the planet and he's taking on JDS, who in my opinion, is the best technical striker in MMA. I have no idea who is going to win this, it really is a coin-flip. Both guys are great sportsmen who take nothing for granted, both come from humble backgrounds and I'm not to fussed who wins. My guess is that JDS will have the better of the stand-up early and Cain will force it to the ground and impose his will. Cain by TKO (due to strikes) after being wobbled early.

Have to admit I was really impressed by JDS performance against Carwin. He looked great both in terms of preparation/physique and his impressive stand up (CD youre right about his technique, looked flawless). Carwin can be a beast but JDS controlled his every move and never let him have a chance. Prior to watching that fight I wouldnt have thought JDS had a chance against the champ, but now Im not so sure. I tend to agree and think that Cain will come out of this the winner, but it will be a hard fight and not as one sided as I once believed it would be. Cain to catch him with his massive power around the 4th round and end it

Velasquez is a beast, that's for sure, but he's more of a take you down and GNP you to death kind of fighter. He had massive trouble with Kongo's striking, and Dos Santos is a number of levels higher in that area. Dos Santos has the reach, and striking advantage here as well as being a brown belt in BJJ. There is enough value here to make me put a decent sized wager on Dos Santos, however the odds on Velasquez keeps dropping. I could have sworn it opened at Velasquez at 1.84 or slightly better. Do the bookies know something? Sharps know something? I don't know, but I think Dos Santos is the superior fighter and should win this handily and my money will be on him. Best part of this super fight, it is FREE! Who will want to watch Pacquiao beat Marquez again and pay $50 to watch? No one will want to if they get to see JDS fight Cain for free. Dana White is a marketing genius...

The money is coming in for Cain thick and fast. I think by fight time, you will get upwards of $2.55-60 on JDS. I think that would be pretty good value. How do you see this fight panning out though? How will JDS get it done?
The free fight is awesome but dude Bendo v Guida, which is a fight I'm super excited about and is a #1 contender bout, won't even be aired. Seriously, this will be on f*cking facebook. puke

Seriously, this will be on f*cking facebook. puke I don't care if its a FB fight, I'm logging on to watch that shit. That is a main event caliber fight if you ask me between Bendo and the Carpenter. Such a SICK fight. That weight class is unreal, so much talent. Guida would be a massive challenge to Edgar, Bendo would bend Edgar over and do him wrong and take the title by rape. I think JDS will have to use his length and reach to keep Velasquez away. He's taller and longer, and if Kongo could almost knock Cain out, JDS can do it. Watch that fight between Velasquez and Kongo and you'll see Cain's weakness is against strikers. He hasn't faced any good ones outside of Kongo. JDS is on a totally different level, different dimension even, when it comes to striking, power and technical prowess. He has to avoid the takedowns to win though. If Cain takes him down, the BJJ will be useless with the power punches coming down on JDS's face.

Huge blow to temple, Cain said after fight that he lost equillibrium and couldnt stand up straight. Absolutely rocked by JDS The Guida v Henderson fight was amazing, definitely the pick of the card

Looked so much different from when he was on TUF - your right about his game improving, completely different fighter. To be honest I didnt even recognise him at first (needed the bright yellow suit lol) Will keep an eye out for him in future cards

What a strange fight that was! JDS has huge knockout power so a TKO was always a possibility but the shot that ended it was not a flush hit, it was an overhand right that clipped around his ear. I guess it must have just hit him in the right place, threw out his balance, then when he tried to pull guard the outcome was kinda inevitable. A 1 minute fight on FOX debut after 1 month of hyping it, ending in odd circumstances - not what the UFC had in mind! I actually logged in for the Bendo fight hammer, what a sick fight that was! I wonder what weight Bendo is on fight day, he is a bloody monster for 155! Surely he will destroy Frankie, he might even slam him through the canvass
