Sunday’s Back to Belmore trial match between the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and Sydney Roosters at Belmore Sports Ground is officially a sell out, with the last available tickets being snapped up late yesterday afternoon.

Really am jealous!! have not been there since the Superleague era

Hoping the dragons get to the top 4 to be honest. Bit nervous with their season coming up.

written by my good friend CK -

Sunday will help heal us all ...

When I think ahead to Belmore this weekend, I get a flurry of emotions I can't describe, nor do I ever recall feeling before.

If I scratch below the surface I find there's a sense of joy and excitement like Sydney's won the Olympics again. There's masses of gratitude for the many un-named faces responsible for making this happen. And, there's a tinge of sadness for those of us fans who got friends/family who are no longer with us, who used to enjoy Belmore like we did.

Trying to get my head around it is inevitably too hard ... largely because I can't stop the beaming smile on my face from emerging and this takes my mind down another path altogether. The path filled with memories, and an opportunity for new memories.

I've spent a large part of the last month reading multitudes of sentiments online about the Bulldogs return to Belmore. It's been a fantastic walk down memory lane, to relive the stories of games past and moments where someone heart was won over. In the lead-up to the game on Sunday Twitter has been capturing the mood better than anywhere with its hashtags : #backtobelmore and #proudtobeabulldog

Whether you going to Belmore on Sunday or not, it's important to acknowledge the magnitude of what's going on. That way you can be part of it by living vicariously with the fans. The game on February 12th ... a lowly, lowly trial match ... is now 99% sold-out as I type.

That's 10,000 pre-paying fans going to a friggin' trial match !!!
Have you ever heard of anything like it ?
Truly astounding !!!

When I go to Belmore on Sunday, I'll be looking forward to one thing more than anything - The smiles on all your faces !!!

Everybody will be smiling for varying reasons ... some will recall childhood memories, some will recall moments with lost loved ones in the stands/crowd, some will be creating their own memories for their children. FIVE games of rugby league from various boys in blue'n'white, and a united 10,000 strong Bulldogs Army to chant, sing, yahoo and dance their way through the afternoon, in the very footsteps of where it was born. There'll be photos, videos, article galore in the washout. Rugby league will celebrate the day "10-thousand to a trial match" for years to come.

Stop ... pause ... and look around.
It's happening NOW !!!

Put your jersey on ... and be proud. After a decade of struggle, adversity, lost-identity and internal disharmony ... you have 10,000 reasons to be proud again.

Sunday kills off all the demons.
Sunday will help heal us all.
