Holy shit, what an amazing ending to an amazing show. This show needs it's own thread! The plan of the show now is to put a new family in the house each season, but wow is all I can say about the finale!

Rudie told me about this one yesterday. I saw a few mins from the first episode and it looked hell creepy. The only issue will be convincing the missus to watch it with me - it's always more fun being freaked out with company.

The first ep is the creepiest, then settles down from there and creates a story from here on in.

Yeah watched the season finale last night. Thought it was good, and I figured that's pretty much the only way it was going to end. Not really sure where they are going to go with it next season as it needs to develop further but I'm definitely going to be watching as I enjoyed this season. That and Connie Britton is a MILF All bets are one unit ($50) unless otherwise noted.

I liked the episode before this one a lot more than the season finale. There was just too much of the episode where nothing happened. Besides, Violet pissed me off by talking shit about the Butthole Surfers. I'll still be watching next season, though, because it looks like Jessica Lange will be a big player. She's been the best part of the show for me.

I got the story wrong for the next few seasons, it will have a totally new haunting in a new house with completely new characters, but some of the same actors will be playing new parts, so in essence it will be an anthology series, can't wait. The finale is where this seasons story ends completely and it's prob why they packed so much into one series.

Yeah just read that. So basically each season is like a miniseries of it's own. This one just told the story of the latest family to die in that house. Interesting I like this idea than to continue with the old story. I wonder who's coming back for season 2. Be a bit awkward to have same actors playing different characters though? All bets are one unit ($50) unless otherwise noted.

Thats what i thought, apparently there will be some past characters returning and others will be new, not sure how thats gonna work?

From what I understand all the characters will be new next season. Some of the actors will be back, but they will be playing new characters. They're still negotiating with Jessica Lange, Dylan McDermott and Connie Britton in hopes they will return. It won't be located in the same place at all. Ryan Murphy (the creator) said there were "clues" in the last 3 episodes. That's made some speculate that they will be setting next season in Virginia, since there was so much discussion of Roanoke and Jessica Lange's character mentioned being from Virginia. I love the idea. I think they told all they could about this location. Another season there would just be more of the same.

Apparently there are hints in the last 3 episodes about where season 2 will be set, and if you watch the birthing scene "frame by frame" then there is a reveal some where in there.
From looking at forums one of the theory's is based on the word said by Violet to get rid of the ghosts, Croatoan. The story behind Croatoan in that a whole community just vanished off the face of the planet some where in South America. Think the movie Yellow Brick Road was based on this.

It's not in South America, but in the southeastern U.S. It's off the coast of the U.S. state of North Carolina, but it was part of the British colony of Virginia. (A lot of British colonies have the same names as U.S. states, but the colonies were broken up into several states eventually.) It was one of the earliest British colonies in the U.S. I haven't seen that movie, though, so I'm not sure if it's related.

Anyone onto season 2 yet? I'm 1 ep in and not sure what to think...so much going on and the extraterrestrial connection is interesting. Pretty sure the guy that loses his arm is Adam Levine from Maroon 5??
