Yup, I was really pissed off with the way he handle the summer transfer window, it was terrible!!! Until you to start to read the hidden messages he was sending out to the public about the board, mainly the boards stubborness to pay high wages for top players, Wenger was in deals with Martin, M'Villa and Mata to name just a few, it wasnt Arsenal as a football team, it wasnt Wenger as a manager, it was the BOARD!!!
This January will be the making and breaking of Wenger. Now i dont expect much more than a top 4 finish this season, but credit where credit is due. He has put out an Arsenal side un beaten in Europe (i dont think we will do anything more after group stages) reached the quarter finals of Carling Cup and now has the side heading in the right direction in the Premier League (8 from 9 since the 8-2 loss)...... and everyone was saying we would be relegated?????
And dont underestimate how huge a win this was for us against Chelsea. We know our defence is abit porridge, but both teams yesterday were undeniably poor in the defensive department.
It almost felt like an old Arsenal performance where Chelsea had more of the ball, but we looked more comfortable counter attacking, we basically did to Chelsea what they have done to us since 2005.
I've watched this game again in all it's glory, and yes, we probably were lucky Snez was shown the yellow and not a red, it was a 5 star frog splash, but I think the ref wasnt going to let the crowd influence his decision, and with Kos closing in on the the 6 yard box, that may have cemented the refs opinion. The challenge gets worse (but awesome because it was on Cashley) when I kept rewinding it, but fuck it, we needed abit of luck.
Chelsea's loose passing was shocking, which is unlike them. They resorted to passing in triangles because we pushed higher up the pitch, Lampard did cut us open a few times in the first half, but we tightened up in the 2nd. They more we put pressure on them, the more they choked into ridiculous short triangles.
I still have no idea if that "trip" from Terry was a genuine trip, I think he knew he couldn't get to it and just fell to his knees, Malouda wasn't even looking up when he hit it with the outside of his foot, but again that coincided with our high pressing.
I've kept the game on my HD box, so will watch it over again

Peter Chech was appauling. Chelsea don't look a threat at all this year. Roman needs splash the cash again extra central defender and midfielder and a keeper to put some pressure on Chech. Gunners got a few players back from injury but way too reliant on VP. When he gets injured again which a certainty watch the gunners form run out. Yes, im worried to death about an injury to VP!! Thats where Wenger has to be aggressive come January, not only does he have to be seen to mean bussiness by the players at the club we need quality, we are just to thin in depth.
Cech, beaten 3 times near post LOL

Again, just have a look at the english tabloids today and see what Stan Kronke is saying, its HIS model not Wengers. If your the GM of a company and have been told to run the bussisness this way and that.... what do you do.... adapt!

Came out of woodwork yesterday must have thought £500 million he paid could have been for a Championship side at one stage. The best quote was this one...."Kroenke, not involved at the club when they last won a trophy in 2005, said: "I am proud of the fact Arsenal has had this sustainable business model." Let's see what happens in the January window when all the clubs come fighting for Van Persie signature... I bet you that model will be thrown out the window quick smart. The thing with VP is he is a gunner thru and thru. ALL he wants to see is that Wenger is serious about challenging for titles/cups etc. A few quality key signings is al thats needed. And yes... we will have to pay overs its just what happens now days, Eden Hazard will sell for 20 - 30 mil.... when was the last time a 20 yr old from Lille was sold for that much?

The team looks in a total mess and the defence just looks all over the place. I'm seeing the knives coming out for Arsene Wegner in no time.

I have found this one of the most entertaining seasons in quite some time. The Manchester sides fighting it out, City looking winners early on, Utd grinding their way back, than City taking the recent derby. And likely to go down to goal difference for only the 5th or 4th time in history Spurs crumbling Arsenals fightback and the Kings return, Van Persieeeeeee!!! Newcastle and Demba Ba being the loan of premier league history! Liverpool concreting their mid table status after King Kenny was going to win everything (according to Liverpool fans) Have to give credit for Chel$ki reaching the CL Final And so much more!
