I think the idea is sound but the application thus far has been a bit shit.

In the Pies game, there was a toe-poke goal which the umpire referred, as he wasn't sure if it hit the post. There was at least one clear angle that showed it didn't yet the third umpire, who I'm assuming is a borderline retard, said it was inconclusive.

And why does he need to put on a stupid voice when reporting back the decision. "The decision is complete". Like really?

It seems to be working ok in what I've seen ... needs more camera angles rather than just two tho'

... the voice sounded a bit like AFL's Adrian Anderson?

The goal by Blair at the end, why was that even referred? I think that umpires who make stupid referrals should be retrospectively sacked. That was shocking.

It's not only a stupid voice but it's incredibly slow. It's like he's demented.

thought it might of touched it with his hand

the different angles make it even worse blair was a goal any day but angles made it close

i think the goalies just use it as back up now

Last weekend in Coll v Geelong there was review called for a behind - different calls of goal/boundary umps...

Ball kicked wild and at least double post height...boundary ump under post says out- goal umpire running across to post says behind. The field ump lost contact with 'review guys' ... says its taking too long we'll go with a behind? what? Boundary guy's call should have been taken-he was parked under ball and looking up!

Review should only be used for goal line or touch/not touch posts until we have numerous cameras and/or 'tennis hawk-eye like' technology

I havent seen a lot of games the past week and a half, but I haven't noticed any replays in the matches that I have managed to watch.

Now that the novelty has worn off a bit, theyre not pushing for replays as often?

Hasnt been used a lot lately. Havent seen it but apparently there was a contentious non goal given to Darling from West Coast late in the game. Just heresay. Probabaly didnt deserve to win that game anyways

I reckon the umps have made a concious effort to back in the goal ump's eye in the past few weeks ... def less in games I have seen. Def a good thing otheriwse it will be like cricket where a run-out thats metres short gets referred coz the umps are too lazy!

This weekend was farcical ...

A richmond clear goal, goal ump says point ... no call for review...wasnt one of 3 field umps watching?

A number of reviews in Port v Adelaide that was incoonclusive and just waited forever for review decision. I think one a goal was called - ball back at centre and still waiting for review finish!!!??? WTF?

Seems after a few weeks of quiet and being used ok ... its now - let's do all or nothing in a game?

Get rid of it til they work out cameras etc
