Arguably one of the best boxers in the world fought on the weekend and I personally couldn't have cared less. I was much more interested in a FREE UFC card that didn't even feature any huge profile fighters of the competition. The drawing power of Mayweather is probably as good as it gets in the boxing world (maybe Manny would draw higher), yet I was more interest in a UFC card featuring no real stars.

Is interest in boxing waning to a point where no one really cares any more?
Am I in the minority and ppl do still enjoy the sport?

Interested in other peoples thoughts

I have always loved boxing, but it has lost a lot of credibility, IMO.

Just on that fight, WTF was Bieber doing in Mayweathers corner?

Biggest joke of a decision I've ever seen in my life, and I've seen some bad ones

Floyd has been in jail since the 1st

Why do these judges get to keep judging fights after making so many bad decisions so openly?
If the sport wasn't corrupt to it's core these guys would all be long gone by now.
Obviously setting up a rematch fight for Pacquiao while they're waiting for Mayweather to finish doing time.
Only way to make sure of a win in boxing is to knock the other guy out.

I checked out the fight and agree with you gmoney, that was a robbery.

To be fair though, Pacman probably lost his previous fight but got a dodgy decision. What goes around comes around they say.

Totally agree CD, that Marquez fight should have been his loss

As for the judges, here's the problem. Nevada boxing commission only allows you to judge fights in this state if you live here, and there are a total of either 11 or 12 in the whole state.

They need to change that and fast to allow all judges in or these problems will continue,at least here in Vegas

^^ Interesting article, they had the fight judged by 5 other judges and they were unanimous that Pacman won the fight, some had it 10 rounds to 2 in his favour.

WBO to order Pacquiao rematch

Manny Pacquiao's call for a rematch with Timothy Bradley has been backed by the World Boxing Organisation.

The Filipino's split-decision defeat in Las Vegas cost him his WBO welterweight belt and caused uproar in the boxing world.

The governing body commissioned a panel of veteran judges to review the fight, and all five gave it to Pacquiao.

The original result will not be overturned, but WBO president Francisco Valcarcel said: "If they want to make a rematch, we will approve the rematch and if they don't we will order one."

Pacquiao, who suffered the fourth defeat of his career at the MGM Grand, said: "I hope with this ruling the public's faith in boxing will be restored.

"I was not surprised by the WBO ruling. I knew that I won, so did the whole world. But that is already over and I am now focusing on the next fight. We will soon find out who I will fight next."
