Ok, for a team that didn't have a whole lot going for it, everything seems to be magically falling into place for them right now.

Is this too good to be true for a league owned team?

Landing the #1 pick in the draft, and then getting Austin Rivers falling to them at #10 (I know some projections had him lasting till around then but still thought some team would take a shot on him before he fell that far).

Now the Hornets are getting Ryan Anderson from the Magic for Gustavo Ayon. Anderson just had a breakout year and is one of the best perimeter shooting bigs in the NBA that can also rebound.

Do you think teams will give favorable deals to the Hornets to get in David Stern's good books now that they're a league owned team?

And do you think that the NBA Draft is a rigged process?

Don't think the Ryan Anderson trade was rigged. Think the Hornets actually have a real owner now? (Benson or something..who also owns the New Orleans Saints?) No point for Stern to meddle some more...

The Draft however was before the new owner was confirmed...so that's a whole other story. Also the sale was announced not long after the Hornets 'won' the lottery.

Still think the Magic could have gotten a lot more than Ayon for Ryan Anderson after the huge season he just had.
If they're rebuilding and planning for life without D12 they could have gotten someone with more upside in return.

Didn't know it was just Ayon. Ryan Anderson for just Ayon is lopsided for sure. No idea what's going on with that behind the scenes. Stern is like the NBA mafia...
