I was just reading through stuff in the Bog and had a question that I can't find an answer to in the FAQ. I hope this is the right place to ask it. Anyway, when referring to an article on another site, most forums don't like you to repost the article in its entirety because of copyright issues. However, I read a post from Cold Dog saying to post entire articles rather than merely including the link. Am I misunderstanding or if I refer to, say an article on ESPN.com, is it proper etiquette here to include the entire text of the article rather than just linking to it?

I don't think there's a difference.
I tend to post the article in full as some may not be able to access the site where the story comes from due to work & firewalls and crap like that

It's always good to include the link or at least the author's name when posting an article - this isn't a formal rule by any stretch, it's just good manners I guess.

In the case of Chikinni, that user was spamming his own site. He had an annoying habit of pasting 1/2 of an article and then giving the link - meaning you had to visit his site to view the entire article. I let him do this for a while but he eventually just started pasting links to his site (with no articles or relevant sports discussion).
