Deal is supposed to look like this when all said & done:

•Brooklyn gets: Dwight Howard, Jason Richardson and Earl Clark from the Magic
•Orlando gets: Brook Lopez, Damion James and Sheldon Williams from the Nets and Luke Walton from the Cavaliers, plus three future first-round picks
•Cleveland gets: Quentin Richardson from the Magic, Sundiata Gaines, Kris Humphries (on a one-year guaranteed deal), a first-round pick and $3 million from the Net
Also, Brooklyn would send MarShon Brooks to a fourth team to get them an additional first-round pick to send to the Magic

So Magic get Brook Lopez + 4 first round picks.
I thought they had better offers than that last season - weren't there some offers that included Kris Humphries as well?
Considering Lopez's rebounding issues at C, the Magic would have done well to keep them paired together

I think the Nets have shown that a frontcourt of Humphries and Lopez just doesn't cut it!

The Nets will be a super-team if they get Dwight ...

Dwight Howard
Deron Williams
Joe Johnson
Gerald Wallace

OUCH.

yep you're right. If a deal doesn't happen soon this is gonna get more annoying than the Carmelo Anthony trade saga where every other day he was going to a different team Mr. Green

Rockets would be stupid to deal for either of Bynum or D12 seeing as though neither player has more than a year to go on their current contract and would probably jet after 1 season.

For me it's already surpassed that. Melo's case seems so much quicker compared to the shit Dwight is pulling. For Melo at least I remember it was pretty clear from the start he was never going to stay and also it was quite clear Knicks was where he was going to go.

No taking the option to play 1 more year to 'prove his loyalty'...
No claims of being 'blackmailed'...
etc.

I think Magic fans want the whole thing over and done with too.
He went from being one of the most popular players on the planet, to being a franchise player that fans want to see gone.

Did NBA players always dictate which teams they would be traded to?
I can't remember hearing much about this when I started getting into basketball in the early 90's, not sure if it's cos we hear every tidbit of news through the internet now, or it's just something that changed over time.

Players were loyal to their teams in the past, now its all about getting paid. Its clear this is the case with how many younger players are entering the draft. In the past, it was extremely rare to see a player drafted right out of high school, or even a college freshman. It used to be that players valued education and wanted a degree, played 4 years. The college game was phenomenal back in the day. Now... wtf... its all about getting paid... cheating on tests to get into a good college which will give them proper exposure which will lead to a higher draft position so they can get paid. Some players are too damn good to stay longer, Durant, Melo, etc, but so many players could have benefited from staying a bit longer.

Anyway... yeah, the D12 saga continues and its irritating. As far as Bynum goes, he doesn't want to go to Orlando, hasn't said anything about other teams yet hahaha.

Dwight Howard is a piece of shit. And you all know how I used to worship the guy.

Yeah, lets trade him to Brooklyn and get a boatload of picks in the late 20s and an over-hyped and now overpaid center...yep, thats a great deal.
