I still think Pies and Hawks are the two, but it will be interesting to see how far North have come on in the second half of the season.

The Bombers must get a win or two, I reckon Carlton will provide a stiff test for them, both of those clubs will probably miss out on finals.

A few shocks

... Blues smashing Bombers by 96 points last night (not so much who won but the margin).

... Crows gave up a 40 points 1st qtr lead to lose to Lions,

... Kangas great form continue with a good win over Pies by 30 points after giving them a 4 goal head-start!

Throws up interesting scenarios now for top 8 positions.

Dawes and Cloke are so out of form ... one probably needs to go out or the Pies season could crash. IMO. Tarrant tried hard. North's backs of Gibson, MacMahon and Thompson did a great job on them tonight.

When midfield pressure is on the Pies defenders look lost with quick delivery and one-on-one.

totally agree...

as well, the young players are flagging from a long season...Elliot was non-existent most of the game and even Ben Sinclair looked tired...

North out-marked us, out-kicked us and out-handballed us...

as for Cloke...I hope whatever Beams was paid in his new contract it was twice what they're offering Cloke...

the only consolation is knowing Swan will be back next week...

Harry O and Dawes are so out of form the only reason they don't get dropped is because there is no-one senior to replace them...though I'd be inclined to give Woods a run in either position...

Cloke should have signed the contract when the $$$$$ were offerred...hanging out for allegedly an extra year may backfire ... could they downgrade the contract, based on his form???? ... he lacks confidence in everything and when delivery is off he looks bad!!!

Daddy Cloke may have derailed his son's and Collingwoood's season Banghead

Dawes was dropping simple uncontested marks last night...He's way past out of form maybe a game or 2 in VFL may help him? The player yoou miss is Leigh Brown.

Harry O is good as a run-off defender when the back 6 is firing, as an accountable defender ... nope, he's not one. Maxwell can be both. Is there any other backman that can come in, that way Tarrant can be a third tall forward?

Didak and Thomas are coming good after injury.

Toovey missed yesterday's game but should be back to replace Maxwell who got injured...just when he's playing his best football...

with no Keefe, Ben Reid is carrying a lot of the load....Harry O rebounds and runs well but has a high turnover rate which blots out any advantage with his speed...

Ben Johnson had a very good game in the VFL yesterday and McCaffer is ready to come back...they should relieve Elliott and Seedsman who are not matching up anymore...

maybe Dawes and Tarrant should just exchange positions....but I do think there is a place for Cameron Woods...

they can't win the premiership with the squad they're playing at present...Beams, Pendles, Reid, Heath and Swan have been carrying the team most of the year....
