i wonder why. if yur gonna run a horse over a longer distance for the first time, why do it in a group 1 race??? gold salute has the best form but needs to get it right this time. and i am a huge fan of ortensia and no doubting her class but i havent seen her beat the boys at the highest lvl yet. maybe this will be it for her. all american's win last start was amazing. lol i wouldnt have believed it if i didnt see it. he s got to be a chance too.
the raiders to fill all 3 places for me

Non WA horses ran 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th last year Smiddy. And i don't think you guys have a real gun horse like Gilded Venom this year. I think Ortensia, Largo Lad, Sniper's Bullet, All American and Gold Salute are all great chances and have there own claims, the winner will come from that bunch IMO.

The important one they missed there Nath is 1st.
Slavonic was the last interstater to win in '99. Maybe they are due then again Hayes knows how hard it is to win - their last winner was Better Loosen Up in '89.
Still with Grand Nirvana who should be closer to the pace this week making his own luck.

i reiterate....gold salute is a certainty.
one of the things that can affect the horses is the change in climate.
its been hot here for ages now so that wont be an issue...its just a matter of hop on the plane and hop off to win a big paycheque.....famous last words though!

I am glad you are super confident Maxi, but the one thing I am certain of, is that there are no certainties in racing.

What if he bombs the start again?
What if he just isn't right on the day (we all have off days, inc. racehorses).
What if (heaven forbid), that he is injured in running?
What if he has bad luck in running?

I think GS is a great chance, and is a deserved favourite, but he is getting a bit short for my liking.

I'll be on something each way in that race (probably Ortensia with a saver on Largo Lad), and not the favourite, not at his current price. If you managed to get the 5's on offer earlier then well done. Thumbs up

your taking unders on gs for sure

i believe the same thing was said last year about wa horses

they have the advantage of this being there GF and being set for the race

i cant say salute ortensia all american or lago lad are running there GF tomorrow

with the lack of speed i think tis a lot harder for the back marker snow to win the race

the race is an absolute raffle i might pick a number out of a hat

I read that 4 of the last 9 winners had not won over the journey before, so perhaps the 1600m there is not a tough one. If she was ever going to try it, perhaps this is the track, and with a lack of pace, perhaps she will outsprint them? Dunno

I reckon it will be a good race. Thumbs up

Talking about Keytomoney and old mate Laney is very happy with the horse but the barrier is a fuckup in his words.

They like GN smidds. What chance you think Ellioto?

i think 6-8

i dont reckon they will run him imo

i can see him getting beat too he had a gut buster last week

scenic shot will be winning the kt

$3 or more is stealing imo

big watch for me today is on lords ransom

first up 1600m he is back where he should of never left in the durrant yard i think this will improve the horse massively

big perth cup watch for me here i think the runs of gondorff who is coming of an injury and lords ransom run will tell me who i want to be backing if almohad doesnt go there
