Stu Jackson, the NBA's czar of discipline, said he was investigating Bruce Bowen's foot maneuver that led to Steve Francis' injury Monday. He also said there would not be a suspension, meaning Bowen will be available to play against the Knicks tonight in San Antonio. Francis' availability is a "game-time" decision, according to Knicks coach Isiah Thomas. Newark Star-Ledger Bowen has done the same thing to Vince Carter (twice), Carmelo Anthony, Ray Allen and Vladimir Radmanovic, which is why Jackson is looking into it. But Jackson said he was concerned only that the Spurs forward has a tendency -- not necessarily intentional -- to move his feet under shooters when they jump. If so, Jackson simply wants to help him stop, but there won't be any disciplinary action. "Oh, no," Jackson said. "In the past he hasn't allowed the shooter to come down. I'll look at the video evidence and see if it's the technique that he's using so that he can avoid in the future." Newark Star-Ledger

Bowen kills me. He is only trouble and is a liability to this league. It would be one thing if he played good, fundamental defense, but instead he's made his living off of playing dirty and getting guys injured. Bowen has no offensive game - he can shoot threes from one spot on the floor (big whoop). Every superstar in this league hates him because he's a injury risk - that shouldn't be tolerated. db

Jumping under opponent foots during jumpshot is But I don´t think there is an intention in this... I cannot imagine someone wants to injure the opponent... Somebody should tell BB not to do that, if Spurs don´t want end like Pistons-Pacers... Dirk and Steve... forever! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oEuU3Algf3g

In a rematch of the Spurs/Knicks that lead to this issue after Francis was injured, Isiah Thomas and Bowen exchanged heated words. Thomas was upset tonight that Bowen got his feet under Crawford during a jump shoit and almost resulted in another injury. When will it be taken seriously? Getting your feet under a defensless player in the air should result in a fine or foul of some type. What would happen when a player comes down on Bowen and seriously injures themselves with a sprain or broken ankle? What if its Lebron or Wade? What then?

yep, if Lebron or Wade comes down on a Bowen ankle then there will be all hell to pay. Spurs are dirtier than a Brianna Banks film, it's not just Bowen. What about Manu injuring people with his flops. These guys will use any dirty tactics to win. Bown has another thing he does where instead of trying to block a shot, he will put his hand right in the face of the defender as they're going up for the jump shot. I've seen him do it against Tmac and other players. In a play like that there's a risk of poking the player in the eye, when he gets under the defender he can make them roll their ankles. I can't stand to see these types of plays.
When I was playing at my local comp recently, I saw on another court, a guy went up for a big rebound, and while he was in the air, this short guy intentionally moved back and boxed out his legs from underneath him, the guy landed flat on his back, and it was almost a huge brawl after that, people came up from the benches and holding ppl back and stuff.
Guys that do crap like that deserved to get smacked the f*ck out, I hope someone flykicks Bruce Bown and ends his dirty career :rage:
