Nice! Love the music and the heads (the Ron Artest spewing mothership had me laughing when I first saw it). Could you make it so you start with like 3 lives? That would be a better test of skill, IMO (based less on luck any way, more on consistency).
My best score so far, 30945

in case you're interested in how it works, here is the scoring table: small Ming worth 50pts ea big Ming worth 10pts per hit with bonus 200pts when defeated + provides cassell drone when beaten! Evil Zachs worth 75pts each Crazy Ron's are worth 100pts each Trippy Van Horn worth 10pts each hit and bonus 200pts when defeated Shaq Boss, worth 10pts per hit + Bonus 500pts when defeated! + provides cassell drone!

And, do you also get a drone when you blow up the Shaq-attack? I did it just after losing my two drones (somehow) and had one afterwards.
Best score now: 42355

My best score so far, 30945 thanks! 30945 thats a pretty good effort doc I think with 3 lives it would be too easy, cos every time you get a powerup thats like an extra life already, when you get hit with one equipped it doesn't let you die automatically

OK...I think I have the new record......do not try this with a BALL MOUSE!!! 256300!!! I still reckon lives would be good, just because of the quite random apperances of the Yao drone-giving creature.

There were a few hairy moments with killer Ron's coming at me from behind, and a few good reflex saves in that score. So much concentration required in this format of the game....but all of my 30 odd years of gaming have paid off!

Great game Thumb! Congrats to your bro. I work with Flash daily and can see that this requires some great coding. Doc, you really need to 'get a life'. Man, I thought my 28925 was ok. Just wait until jr tries this game (complete with the obligitory 'I once held the world record for Kaboom' story...).

A space shooter called Uridium on the C64 was great training for this game, 15 levels of super precise flight paths and waves of killer alien crafts!

I think my brother's made some changes to it like the attack patterns and stuff cos it seems a lot different today Yao's doing spinny diagonal stuff lol You like that (approximate) score Thumb? New patterns indeed, it's getting better and better! My 'tactic' based on the enemy physics still mostly works, but having waves of differently behaving enemies will make a great improvement. Maybe you could even introduce 'stages' (named by team), and 'real' bosses at the end of levels (I STILL LOVE THE SHAQ PIC, gets me LOL every time, it's the subtle mouth movements that are a cack). This could be the greatest shoot-em-up ever!!! Final boss = an MJ/Bird/Magic mutant beast!
