I know there are some of you out there who fancy yourselves as big time punters, but what is the biggest balls-to-the-wall wager you have placed.

I make no judgement upon the sanity of your oversized selection or whether it won or lost, all I want to know is what was to this day, and in all honesty the biggest individual bet that you have declared.

It doesn't need to have been on sport, just the biggest single gamble that you have taken.

mine is $210 on roulette playing red, and it lost.

what's yours?

$356 win on Efficient in the Derby. It only paid $3 or something but man it was sweet. Especially when it was buried on the fence with 350m to go. I remember the amount for some reason but it was everything i had on me at that point to the last dollar.

£350 on Germany to beat Poland in the world cup 2006 .

I got on in running at half time and I thought they would walk it.
I was working on tel bet at the for William hill at the time and i was going crazy.

The germans must have hit the post 3 times and were by far the better team. Well i would say they molested them. It seemed to me one of those freak days when nothing you will do will be good enough to go in. When the germans scored in the 94th minute we all went crazy.

During the world cup i never lost a bet and was the best run in my life.

i got the shitty end of a bad trade on a horse once so let it run for full liability of the lay .. it ran with a £700+ red figure under it...

and won .. i was gutted... i traded out pre off after that and never stood another one to the full liability after the price ran away from me again ..
