Boden Sweden Saturday June 13

Sundons Gift and Chris Lang venture to the far north of Sweden saturday as they contest Boden`s biggest race of the year the Norrbottens Grand Prix .The draw once again not been kind and he will need luck in running to claim some of this.He will be joined by another of the Elitlopp starters in Scarlets Aino

The following is courtesy of http://www02.atg.se/cm/english

Acclaim likes to compete in the northern part of Sweden. He won a Golden Division race at Umåker in April and did well behind Glen Kronos at his latest outing. He prefers to attack from of the pace. Scarlets Aino did really well in the Elitloppet and will certainly be given every chance by driver Hans Sundberg. Giant Superman won this race last year and is drawn nicely but won just the one race last year and still hasn´t won this year but last years winner Should still be considered.Global Glide has done really well even given his latest loss and should not be ignored

In what was a very strong lineup this was a pretty good run by Sundons Gift who once again as he has in all his starts in Sweden drew a poor gate and was forced to race with little luck from the outset being trapped very wide Chris Lang had little choice but to press on sitting parked before getting cover in the final lap.Moved into 3rd at the top of the lane and although the earlier effort had taken it`s toll he still battled on really well.Starting to look more settled now and only needs to draw a decent gate if they decide to take in one or two more races before heading home ,could very well pick up something.

Striking Chestnut Commander Crowe easily found the lead allowing driver Peter Ingves to control the race from the top.Although challenged strongly in the home straight by French runner Marathon Man, Ingves was able to get Commander Crowe home by the narrowest of margins.Third went to another French runner in Oceano Nox who closed late along the markers.Race favourite Jaded went into a tangle early ruining any chance he might have had.
