WTF serious, it's hard to imagine Herpes packing so much heat.. 2 handguns and a shotgun, while riding a motorbike lol! Delonte West has been arrested on weapons charges near his Maryland home after being pulled over on his motorcycle on Thursday night.
Police say West, who was later released on his own recognizance, had two handguns and a shotgun on him. It's hard to imagine where he was keeping the shotgun, but it's hard not to think about the Tex Cobb character in Raising Arizona here. In any case, the arrival of Anthony Parker in Cleveland should severely limit West's fantasy value this season, so don't go out of your way to draft him.

from Rotoworld: Delonte West was carrying three loaded guns on a three-wheeled motorcycle when he was pulled over and arrested on Thursday night. He had a loaded 9mm Beretta in his waistband, a Ruger .357 strapped to his leg and a loaded shotgun in a guitar case on his back. While visions of Terminator and Raising Arizona are impossible to ignore, West is said to suffer from bipolar disorder and left the Cavs for several weeks last season for treatment for depression.

Seems like he will be getting suspended for this. I'm guessing at least 5-10 games. Delonte West spoke with Cavaliers officials in Cleveland this weekend, but the team's reaction to his recent arrest is unclear.
West's first court date is Nov. 20, and it's unlikely that either the Cavs or the NBA will mete out any punishment before then. The Cleveland Plain-Dealer notes that misdemeanor gun charges (West faces two misdemeanors for concealed handguns) "have received suspensions ranging from 3-7 games."

Throw him out of the league. There's no rhyme or reason why anybody needs to be walking around with that many weapons.
Stern should set an example and kick his pathetic ass out. A 7 game suspension for that is absurd. Didn't Rashard get 10 for 'roids?

What ended up happening with Delonte's court case for his whole motorbike shotgun shenanigans? I never really heard much more about it. The NBA didn't suspend him did they? It seems weird how Arenas got thrown out for the rest of the season for his locker room gun-toting incident but nothing really to happen to Delonte West... Maybe Stern realised this little dude is just crazy enough to show up at his house with grenades strapped to his chest if he tried to suspend him

an update on the Delonte West motorbike shotgun thing, he got 40hrs community service/seeing a shrink, and is on probation: Cavaliers’ West pleads guilty in Md. case By KATHLEEN MILLER, Associated Press Writer 58 minutes ago Email Print UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP)—Cleveland Cavaliers guard Delonte West(notes) pleaded guilty Thursday to weapons charges.
In Prince George’s County Circuit Court, Judge Graydon McKee sentenced West to eight months of electronic monitoring, two years of unsupervised probation, 40 hours of community service and psychological counseling.
Accompanied by his mother, girlfriend and uncle in court, West told Judge McKee he was ashamed.
He said he has been “put on a pedestal” because he can “dribble a basketball,” and worries about letting down youth who look up to athletes.
Authorities said the basketball player was carrying two loaded handguns, a loaded shotgun and an 8 1/2-inch Bowie knife while speeding on a three-wheel motorcycle on the Capital Beltway last September. Police said West, who lives in Brandywine, Md., was pulled over after cutting off an officer.
West’s attorney said the player had the weapons because he was transporting them from one home to another that he owns in the county, after his mother ordered him to remove them from one property.
NBA spokesman Tim Frank said in an e-mailed statement that the league would “review the court’s decision before making any disciplinary decisions.”
West, 26, has been a productive player during his two-plus seasons with Cleveland, but the past year has been a difficult one for him and the team.
Following his arrest on the weapons charges last September, West reported to the Cavs’ training camp on time but missed the team’s first four practices without an excuse. He returned but then left the team for a week to deal with personal matters. In October, his wife filed a domestic violence report against him.
Other than a brief question-and-answer session last year, West did not speak to reporters all season. The Cavs were proactive in helping West, who has battled bipolar disorder for years. He was often seen talking with a team psychologist following practices.
It’s still possible the team could waive West, acquired in a 2008 trade.
