Having difficulty sleeping past few weeks so started the habit of watching a DVD movie every night before bed...ran out of DVD at home so was planning to go get some after work for tonight.

Over the past week I've watched (and re-watched): District 9, The Dark Knight, Lord Of The Rings 1,2,3, The Transporter, 300, Apocalypto.

Any suggestions?

For some reason The Perfect Getaway comes to mind, loved this movie, cheap budget but great story, has Steve Zahn, Milla Jovovich and Timothy Olifant in it.

Other faves if you don't care about watching movies you've prob seen already:

Sin City
Fight Club
The Matrix
Pulp Fiction & anything by Tarantino
Watchmen
Usual Suspects
Good Will Hunting
Rounders
Primal Fear
Trainspotting

Thanks for the list! Don't mind watching movies I've seen before at all - that's kinda the whole point of Blu-Ray DVDs anyway right? Watching really old films with better definition...LOL

I picked up Fight Club last night...not really a great movie that you need to watch on Blu-Ray though. Probably gonna get Perfect Getaway next time I go to the shop.

hahah good stuff Jase
The Edge is a descent flick starring Anthony Hopkins out in the wilderness
Fracture is a pretty interesting courtroom drama starring.. Anthony Hopkins Very Happy
both movies are pretty good though
The Descent is a sick horror flick if ur up for some suspense/action
And Pandorum is kinda like a sci-fi space version of The Descent hahah
Taking Lives is a really good movie, suspense/thriller with Angelina Jolie
The Mist is a really good horror/sci fi movie too, has one of the most memorable endings I've seen in any movie too hahah
anyways lemme know what u think! Thumbs up

the blu rays in my collection that I reckon are worthwhile watching in HD:

LOTR trilogy,
Harry Potter 1-7
Chronicles of Narnia 1-3
Pirates Of the Caribbean 1-3
Troy
Braveheart
300
Xmen 1,2,3,Wolverine
Fantastic 4, 1-2
Resident Evil 1-4
Underworld trilogy
Avatar Extended
Fearless
Inception
2012
Transformers
Red Cliff 1&2
Gladiator
The Last Samurai
Iron Man 1&2
And heaps of animated ones too they're good in blu ray on the big screen: Tangled, How to Train Your Dragon, Kung Fu Panda, Bolt, Up, Wall-E, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, The Incredibles etc
Also recommend Band of Brothers/The Pacific those are really good on blu ray, with the lights off and the sound pumped
and other series that are good on blu ray:
True Blood
Spartacus
Heroes

Anything big budget with good special fx.. epic storylines with good cinematography and massive battle scenes
Some movies, it doesn't really add that much going from dvd to br, mostly the drama stypes, like Crazy Heart.

Thumb, have you watched THE DIVIDE yet?
It's a sick show about a bunch of people trapped in a nuclear shelter after the US is blown to dust...then they start doing sick shit on each other...

Sickening movie but surprisingly pretty good
